Brand design & Installation
What we look for, what we avoid, and how we
produce and rollout in EMEA and beyond!
A brief introduction
We are a multi-talented design and communications agency based in Kingston upon Thames. Together we specialise in building and maintaining brand identities through print and digital communication design, environmental branding and web design.

Matt Winstone, Managing Director
Has probably been to more IBXs
than anyone, ever.

Grace Kennedy, Head of Creative
Works through many time zones.

Jack Brewster, Senior Project Manager
A Jack of all trades.
Our process
Survey
the site
We survey all kinds of sites–newly built and under the control of the GCs, new sites under Equinix control, and established sites that need a brand change or an update.
Design
the space
We work with the survey team to combine our experiences to solve problems and create a space for everyone to enjoy!
Produce & transport
Our UK production team works with us to test out new methods and materials.
We can produce all of our materials from Warsaw and Amsterdam too – however we have found that the UK has the lowest production costs.
Install
& enjoy
Our installers link multiple installs into one trip, sometimes spending a couple of weeks on the road traveling from IBX to IBX in the UK and mainland Europe.
Survey the site
Capture
every corner
Is it spacious or small?
Is there an echo?
What is the lighting like?
Where there are obstacles such as pillars, plugs, TVs or air con?
Measure everything
Draw as you measure, and don’t forget those mullions!
Not sure if you are going to brand something? Measure it anyway!
Create
the brief
This brief will be used as the foundation to planning the space
with the creative team, Equinix PMs, production, and our installers.
Control room, DB3, Dublin
Requirement:
- 100% privacy
- Allow light through (no exterior windows)
- Keep both inside and outside the room feeling light and airy
- Work with already existing blue light

Design the space
Design fit
for purpose
Room function: a serenity room, training room, or office?
Practicality: a busy corridor, a dark room, or a busy meeting room?
Easy to understand or navigate.
Consider how people feel
Motivated, proud, and enthusiastic.
Calm, welcome and safe.
Confident, trusting, a sense of place.
Use your surroundings
Interact with interesting features or building themes.
Don’t over-complicated an already busy space.
LD5, London
Requirement:
Increase the space at Security so visitors don’t have to gather in front of the mantraps waiting.
Increase the space in the security office so three people can be checked in at a time rather than 1 to improve speed of entry.
Make the open space feel comfortable, fresh and inviting.
AXI Project
The AXI project was put together to address customer experience issues at complicated or poorly rated Equinix sites.
Survey customers and Equinix employees to find common issues.
Enhanced the directional signage on sites and simplified signage requirements to improve the customer experience.
Gather data and feed back on the results.

Dedicated & determined
The team like to group projects together and have even spent 4 weeks straight travelling between IBXs in Europe installing one site after the other.
